Contemporary to Borobodur, the three main towers of Prambanan represent the key trinity of Hinduism: Brahma the Creator; Vishnu the Protector; and Shiva the Destroyer. The surfaces of the buildings are carved with stories from both the Ramayana - and the Kama Sutra.
